50 years of dedication to the Visual Arts

Silvio Frezza

Born in Brazil in 1949, Silvio Frezza initiate his career as painter, sculptor and craftsman at the studio of the Master Pietro Luisi  in São Paulo in 1963. This website is dedicated to him.

"My paintings are not a reproduction of what I see but, the recreation of what I feel. Give life to the oneiric archetypical images that emerge from my psyche. No longer being the un-comprehended Artist that feels and express without being understood to the Artist, that preach in form, the movement evolutionary and regressive of the collective subconscious. The objective of my creation is to make an impression in the observer that elevate is psyche to the ethereal realm of the cosmic form. Unity in the diversity is the characterization I search for when choosing the elements that I put together to form the final artwork. The unity in the diversity creates harmony. Contrary, the chaos of the diversity, alone, without the factor unity, produces pandemonium, unpleasantness, and bellicoseness. That is the essence of the Universe form and my paint as well. Under those circumstances the observers start to let the true intentions of the artwork take effect: first to color stimulation then a journey through the collective archetype’s elements."
